David is part of the i2B support team and is a fountain of knowledge in all i2B has to offer. David has been with i2B since 2013 and has grown allot during his time, to gain an insight as to what makes him tick we asked him a few questions….
What is your current position in i2B?
Can you give a brief overview of what you do in your work?
Provide technical support to large organisations, ensuring our websites,software runs smoothly providing advice to end users.
What would you say most motivates you to do what you do?
Knowing I’m learning something new each day within the Industry through colleagues and best practice. Achieving a sense of accomplishment when troubleshooting unforeseen issues.
What are the goals you most want to accomplish in your work?
Short term to keep improving and building a wider scope of knowledge within my role which will prepare me for expanded positions and responsibilities in the future.
I als would like to be known for someone who made a difference in the growth of the business. To network better and make the most of each opportunity that arises.
In your work or personal life what have you found to be the greatest challenge, and how did you overcome this?
Being able to stay motivated at work when personal issues have set you back. Overcome this by becoming wiser, resilient and mature. Would definitely say I am a better person as a result of this.
When you are not working what can you be found doing?
Cycling, watching sports and entertaining my 2 little boys.
What are your personal goals?
To push myself out of the comfort zone more often but most of all to continue being sincere throughout personal and working life.
What one piece of advice do you wish you were given when you first embarked on a career in IT?
You’re likely to hear no and face setbacks many times before you achieve any of your goals. But by refusing to accept no you’ll succeed.
If you could be anywhere in the world right now where would you be, and why?
I’d say Las Vegas, watching events and having the odd flutter.
If your colleagues were asked to describe you in 3 words what do you think they would be?
Approachable, polite, honest.
