Fast Part
i2B consulting and software development divisions have worked alongside Ideal Standard based in Hull UK to develop a spare parts selling solution code named "Fast Part".
Specially developed to sit alongside and tightly integrate with their back office SAP R/3 system in the future,
i2B's Fast Part system is unique enabling consumers to diagnose problems and purchase the spare parts required for the Ideal Standard range (including Trevi, Sottini, Ceramica Dolomite and Tantofex).

The Problem
All spares and replacement parts for any of the Ideal Standard range are purchased
direct from the Ideal Standard HQ in Hull. The after sales team were solely responsible for the diagnostic and
distribution of all spare parts throughout the UK. To help streamline the spare parts diagnostic and ordering
process Ideal Standard needed an online solution that both improved efficiences and also enhanced their
customer experience.
The Solution
i2B's software development team and consultants worked closely with
Ideal Standard to develop "Project Fast Part" to incorporate the needs of their after sales department allowing:
• Customers to diagnose their plumbing problems via a highly sophisticated online diagnostics tool,
• Improvements of the process in which customers order spares,
• The whole spares supply chain to operate with greater efficiently allowing quicker dispatching of goods.
The Fast Part solution will link directly into their back office (SAP R/3) system enabling both consumers and
staff to benefit from real time stock information and faster processing of information.
Ideal Standard are confident that with the introduction of the Fast Part system they will be able
to speed up the distribution process and increase customer service to both the trade and consumers.
It is anticipated that they will receive a rapid return on investment and are already planning
phase 2 which will include online order tracking and the ability to purchase complete bathroom suites online.
